| As Sibelius-using composer, Matt has become an expert in this music notation software. Matt started by assistant instructing his high school's composition class, which used this software. He was later hired by the VT MIDI Project to teach professional development workshops for music teachers learning Sibelius. He provides an intermediate class for musicians and teachers to learn composition using Sibelius. |
Matt has worked as an online mentor for the Vermont MIDI Project for several years. As a mentor, he listens to and critiques student compositions (ranging from kindergarten to high school) that are posted on a password secure webpage. He provides feedback for the students about their piece via an online message forum. Matt also teaches private compositions lessons for new composers. |
